Remember the track day rider who went wide on grass but managed to pull an incredible save? Well, luck ran out for him this time. And it was in the same spot he almost crashed last time.
I really admire the stubbornness with which this rider attacks the same corner where he almost crashed a couple of months ago. Yes, Squidly Jenkins, as he refers to himself on Youtube, is back in action with a new video, but this time he ran out of luck and ended up in the trees.

Guess that his last off-road adventure gave him more courage, because he now knew he could save it if he runs wide. So he was trying to chase down the leader bike in front but miscalculated his entry speed in that same turn.

He tried shaving off some speed using the rear brake, but then his luck ran out. He felt his foot slipped off the brake pedal and quickly decided to straighten the bike and go off the track to avoid a nasty crash.

But as soon as he left the smooth tarmac he discovered the rear brake lever fell off. With no way of safely slowing down, he continued his rough ride to some trees in the distance, where he eventually crashed into some bushes. Those darn Danmoto rearsets...

Don’t worry, he got up safe and sound. The bike is fine too. He picked it up, swiped the dirt off the fairings, brought it back to the pits, fixed the brake and off he went racing for the rest of the day. That’s the spirit.

I guess he’s really thankful that racing track has no guardrails, concrete barriers or any other retention systems in that corner. Even a tire wall would have made the situation much worse.
