The W140 generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of the most cherished models in the three-pointed star brand's history. This is especially true in Eastern Europe and most countries from the ex-Soviet Union, for some reason.
They have received so much love from some owners to the point of completely identifying themselves with the massive luxury car.
This seems to be the case with the following Russian man from Novosibirsk, who apparently loved his W140 so much that one of the special requests in his will was for a very special tombstone on his grave. One that will forever treasure the special connection he probably had with his car.
This is probably one of the most peculiar Mercedes-related, or even car-related, for that matter, images we have ever seen: a statue consisting of the owner -apparently called Chubarov Boris Yakovlevich - sitting on a small pedestal, next to its faithful Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140 that may or may not have been partly destroyed by a huge boulder.
The quality of the details on the sculpture is simply exquisite, since even the thread marks on the front right tire seem to be correctly shaped. We have no more words.
