The guys from Armytrix are promising us some of the best aftermarket exhaust solutions for out Bimmers, if we’re to believe their official specs. Not too long ago, they claimed that their product for the M235i will get you an additional 25 horsepower just like that. We’re rather reluctant though.
However, the sound their exhaust makes is worth our attention. In today’s battle, we get to see two cars fitted with aftermarket solutions from Armytrix, from the same stable.

On the left, we have the brand new BMW M235i. Fitted with a 3-liter turbocharged petrol engine making 326 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, this beauty will do 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 4.8 seconds, when fitted with the automatic 8-speed gearbox (that we actually recommend).

On the right, we have an older model. The F30 335i has been around for quite some time but it’s using basically the same engine as the M235i: the N55 unit. In this case though, it’s rated at only 306 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, less but plenty for a mid-size sedan.

While the 2er might have the upper hand in performance and pure numbers, the 335i has the better sound, if you ask us, at least in this particular video.

The guys from Armytrix, apparently know that we love drag races and they even set the two on each other on a closed piece of road. Who won? Well, see for yourself and then let us know what exhaust note you liked better.
