We love it when brands that were once great but were killed over the time, manage to come back from the dead. This is the case of Imperia Automobiles, a Belgian specialty automotive producer that was brought back to life at the Belgian Auto Show last month.

The company, which performed on the automotive stage between 1900 and 1950, is now offering us the official info and images of its comeback model. Dubbed Imperia GT, the vehicle uses classic styling cues to hide state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion technology.

The vehicle’s hybrid powertains combines a 1.6 liter turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 210 hp and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque and an electric motor that produces 136 hp and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.

We won’t let you waiting for the performance info, as this is the icing on Imperia’s new cake. By internal combustion and electric powers combined, the carmaker’s Captain Planet is able to hit 62 mph in a supercar-rivaling 4 seconds. Even when the driver chooses to be pay extra attention to the environment, switching to the all-electric mode, the car can still offer excellent performance, posting a hot hatch-beating 0 to 62 time of six seconds flat.

Moving to the efficiency side of the story, we’ll tell you that the GP offers an average fuel consumption of 1.9 liters per 100 km (123 US mpg) and emits less than 50 grams of CO2 per km. The electric system offers an all-electric driving range of 70 km (43 miles), with a full charge time of 4.5 hours.
