The Hurlingham Club London Salon Prive opening its doors on July 22 will witness, among several others worth seeing novelties, a car you probably don't know much about: the IFR Aspid.
Built by IFR Automotive, the Aspid is capable of accelerating from naught to sixty faster than you can say its name: 2.8 seconds. It accomplishes this feat thanks to a 2.0l four cylinder engine, capable of developing 400 hp and 225 Nm of torque.
“It is very much a driver’s car and certainly has the ability to exhilarate,” Ignacio Fernández, IFR Automotive head told Piston Heads. “But it’s also a very safe car and easy to live with on a daily basis, whether driving into town or on a long distance journey.”
According to manufacturer's data, the Aspid meets both FIA safety standards as well as European road car homologation requirements. Comfort, infotainment, all the features you are used to see in a normal car can be found in the Aspid as well.
"Despite its lightweight construction, the Aspid actually comes better equipped than most supercars that are typically twice the weight," the company said. "Inside the climate controlled cabin the sophisticated electronic system incorporates a touch screen in the centre console that controls everything from the sensitivity of the power steering to the integral data logging. Another screen in the steering wheel displays all relevant data in a simple and clear presentation."
