If the Ferrari F40 Was a Muscle Car on Route 66

Yes, I know, the putting the Ferrari F40 and the muscle car concept in the same sentence sounds like I’ve had too much petrol to drink today. But it’s now as outrageous as it sounds, you know?

For one thing, I’m willing to bet many car aficionados would’ve placed the same “impossible” label on the AC Cobra before Carroll Shelby started borrowing body shells from British producer AC back in the day.

Sure, Ferrari is Ferrari and it would never have allowed for such a process to take place on a large scale, but just earlier today we talked about the coolest F40 in the world. That car, the only F40 LM Barchetta in the world, was modified far beyond anybody in Maranello had ever dreamed of. Aside from asking its owner to remove the Prancing Horse badges, Ferrari left the project be.

So, just in case you didn’t agree on that car being the most badass F40 in the world, perhaps this project suits your tastes better. We are talking about a digital creation coming from 21-year old artist Khyzyl Saleem, whose work is nothing short of splendid. You have to consider this guy does his thing in less than an hour, most of the time during lunch breaks.

Where else would such an apocalyptical F40 run wild if not on the defunct Route 66? Sure, there are better ways to have motoring fun in America than following this broken path, but I have to admit the combination takes the rubber-burning cake.
