Who knew that the man that brilliantly played Stringer Bell in The Wire or the late Nelson Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is also an adrenaline junkie that used to race cars and change tires when he was growing up in the UK?
We sure didn’t so when we stumbled upon his latest show with BBC we were simply amazed. Idris Elba is not only a great actor on his way to an Academy Award but he’s also a pretty good driver and a possible car show host if you ask us(hear that Top Gear?).

His King of Speed special (split in two episodes) takes him through the US and Europe, driving special cars and talking about car culture all the way. Heck, he even gets to drive a NASCAR and goes rallying through Finland. What more could you wish for? It’s really an exciting show and you should check it out yourself, if you have the time (each episode is 60 minutes long).
