According to Autocar, Icona is currently negotiating with several investors to gain funds for a limited production Vulcano that could arrive “one year from now”.

“We can't wait to see the first customers, we are discussing this right now and hopefully the early customers will come. With that will come the possibility of developing more engine combinations,” said Icona design director Samuel Chuffart.

As a reminder, the Icona Vulcano was conceived to host two powertrains, a turbocharged V6 engine and a much powerful V12 configuration, both helped by electric motors that are motivating the front wheels. The race-prepped V6 version delivers 870 HP, while the street V12 version boasts no less than 920 HP. 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprints can be achieved in 2.9 and 2 seconds respectively.

Pricing estimated have yet to be announced, but we’ll have to wait and see if Icona manages to turn this concept car manages into production vehicle.
