It’s true that we don’t hear that often about Saleen lately, but that doesn’t mean the specialty high-performance sports car and aftermarket parts manufacturer has lost any of its appeal. After all, it does have a comprehensive lineup, which includes – as always – many products from the Blue Oval, alongside a few outsiders, such as the S1 and Tesla-based GTX.
Still, if you want to present yourself as a true Saleen enthusiast and your budget is not exactly adept at eccentric purchases, you need to research the vast depths of the Internet for a Mustang-based build. Luckily, as part of our Ford Month feature, we’re doing anything in our power to bring such goodies into the spotlight.

Take this 1994 Ford Mustang GT that’s listed for almost $34k (it’s $33,900 to be more precise) by low-mileage specialist Garage Kept Motors. Granted, it does come with around 105k miles (almost 170k in kilometer format) on the Saleen-branded odometer, but it still fits the bill thanks to a recent engine replacement.

As such, the factory unit was ditched at around 99k miles (more than 159,000 km) in favor of a 347 cubic inch (5.7-liter) Ford Racing mill that also went through a host of upgrades of its own. Chief among them, the stroker (which got dropped inside a “crystal white” engine bay, repainted just prior to the swap) has an MSD ignition, BBK cold air intake, Edelbrock intake manifold, short headers, and a ZEX nitrous oxide system.

It’s going to be an easy call to engage with other Mustang aficionados thanks to the loud Borla exhaust, Hurst line lock/roll control elements, and AirLift rear airbags matched with Bilstein shocks. According to the seller’s description, it was on the dyno, putting out 364-wheel horsepower and 301 lb-ft (407 Nm) of torque, so the new owner is getting an aggressive technical setup to match the polished looks.

Speaking of styling, this Mustang GT clearly shows a love for the Saleen S351 thanks to the bevy of exterior and interior parts. During this time of year, we’re always suckers for any car dressed up in an immaculate snow-white attire, and the Ford clearly fits the bill, with just a few black touches (mirrors, decals, stop light surrounds) thrown in for a bit of contrast.
