Like many car enthusiasts out there, Joe Bidden has a thing for the C7 Corvette. However, since his name starts with a VP title, his supporters have decided to make a big fuss about his 'Vette love.
While many see Hillary Clinton as the Democratic proposal for the 2016 presidential election, Bidden fans are using the politician's association with the American sportscar icon as a secret weapon. The result is called the Draft Bidden movement and reaches out to the masses through items such as the bumper sticker above.
Inspired from President Barack Obama's "Hope and Change" campaign he used for his first election, the... filter you see here is applied on an image that surfaced last year.
The original picture, which you can find below, comes from the VP's cameo in the Julia Louis-Dreyfus video of the 2014 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.
We have to explain the 2014 Stingray isn't Bidden's first Corvette love - the VP owns a 1967 Corvette C2, being a longtime fan of GM's halo machine.
As cool as the image may look, we're not quite sure how much of a political effect such a move can have.
Ironically enough, Hilary Clinton spoke on automotive-related themes at the National Automobile Dealers Association meeting in New Orleans last year, letting it slip that she hadn't driven a car herself since 1996.
The former First Lady explained “I’ve always enjoyed stories about cars and adventure. And I have to confess that one of the greatest disappointments about my public life is that I cannot drive anymore. And my husband thinks that’s a blessing. But he’s the one who should talk.”
Still, while Bidden did state there's a chance he could challenge Clinton for the Democratic title in 2016, he hasn't officially thrown down the gauntlet yet.
