Hyundai is finally ready to release the Veloster Turbo onto the world, as pricing for the 3+1 door coupe/hatch has been announced. And it’s good to know that the Korean aren’t all talk, because this little rocket packs 201 horsepower but is still as economical as some of the econo-boxes out there.
Getting straight to the point, for the price of $21,950, you get the Veloster Turbo with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a six-speed manual gearbox. That’s about the same price as a 500 Abarth or Golf GTI and also over$2,000 cheaper than the Scion FR-S.

But the Veloster Turbo is relatively well equipped as standard, coming with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights. a sculpted body kit, standard leather seats with heating, push button start and aluminum pedals.

The Veloster’s last party trick is that even though it got ever 200 hp, it will do 38 mpg highway and 26 mph city.
