Hyundai Unveils Three Spots during the 2009 Super Bowl

It has been so much spoken about, exciting ad concepts were previously announced and now we finally got our hands on Hyundai's 2009 Super Bowl spots. We already knew that the South Korean automaker was going to advertise its Genesis Coupe during this year's game so, the real surprise cam from the other two (unexpected) commercials.

And because we're sure you are extremely willing to hear about the Hyundai Genesis Coupe and the “Epic Lap” featuring Rhys Millen, so now we are ready to supply you with fresh details. The video shows a yellow Hyundai Genesis Coupe which is being driven by the aforementioned professional on the track.

Although it races all by himself, the spot is probably meant to emphasize the impressive racing characteristics of the vehicle. Yet, since they constantly remind us they're speaking about a professional driver completing the lap, you shouldn't attempt this in ordinary driving situations.

As for the second commercial, if it is not going to make you burst into... laughter tears, it will at least put a smile on your face. Suggestively named “Angry bosses”, the spot shows how two executives of competitor brands (Lexus and BMW) react to the news that Hyundai Genesis Coupe has received the "Car of the year" award. Both of them are extremely angry over the matter. Chill out, guys! You don't have to make your blood pressure go up to make us understand you're not at all pleased with the idea...

Last but certainly not the least, the third Hyundai spot features their already famous assurance program. “Sounds too good to be true?” they rhetorically ask in the commercial. To be honest, not really. Due to weak demand for cars during the financial crisis, we're almost sure car makers will move heaven and earth to attract potential customers.
