If you were looking for a vehicle to help you through "the ever-impending zombie apocalypse", you'll be happy to know that Hyundai has revealed The Walking Dead Special Edition Tucson at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Unlike the company's previous zombie survival cars, the Walking Dead Tucson will actually make it into production, as Hyundai wants to make it available in limited quantity starting early next year. Designed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Walking Dead graphic novel series, the new limited edition Tucson features an Ash Black exterior with red accents and "Special Edition" badging.
The vehicle is also fitted with roof rack cross rails, mudguards, custom floor and cargo mats, and a custom Zombie Survival Kit that includes a Walking Dead 72-hour survivalist's backpack, a Quick Reference Guide and decals for the four factions featured in the series.
Available only in AWD, the Walking Dead Special Edition Tucson is motivated by the company's 2.4-liter Theta II engine, which delivers 182 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. More details can be found in the official press release below.
