Korea automaker Hyundai ha released a teaser photo for a call called the HB20, which it will build in Brazil starting this September. The ‘HB’ in the car’s name stands for Hyundai Brazil an the 20 represents the size of the platform. So basically, we’re probably looking at an i20 sedan that has been redesigned using the Fluidic Sculpture design language.
After the car goes into production at the Piracicaba plant located near Sao Paulo, sales will begin in October 2012. This happens to be Hyundai’s first Brazilian car, and their first production facility there, but the HB family is expected to include a hatchback, a sedan and an SUV.
As for the HB20 itself, this will be available with a 1.0 flex fuel and 1.6 flex fuel version. A manual is standard, but you can have an automatic for the 1.6 model.
