Hyundai has released two rendered images previewing their Nurburgring Test Center which they say will be ready in August this year. The facility will have a total of four floors with dedicated areas for VIP customers, engineer tests and office space.
The famous race track will help Hyundai accelerate their new product turnaround times, with “accelerated durability tests” carried out there being able to simulate 180,000 km of regular road wear and tear in a just a few weeks.

Hyundai’s full-time presence at the ‘Ring also spells the start of development for hotter cars and will improve the handling characteristics of normal models offered by this ambitious Korean carmaker.

“Quality is one of Hyundai’s core values and it is key to achieving customer satisfaction.  The Nürburgring is the ultimate location to test vehicle durability, and we’re able to apply what we learn there to all of our vehicle development projects. Our new facility will increase our testing capacity, bringing direct benefits to our customers in terms of vehicle quality and performance,” said Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
