Hyundai Presenting 2010 FIFA World Cup Live in Australia

Hyundai’s Australian arm announced that it is running the “Football Australia Live Site present by Optus” programs in Melbourne and Brisbane during the 2010 FIFA World Cup.The “Live Sites” are located in the heart of the cities and are aimed at offering fans a FIFA World Cup experience, with all Qantas Socceroo first group stage matches presented live on generously-sized screens.

The sites are located at Birrarung Marr in Melbourne and Reddacliff Place in Brisbane and open two hours before each match, being hosted by local radio personalities.

“The live sites located at Birrarung Marr in Melbourne, and Reddacliff Place in Brisbane, will broadcast the matches live and uninterrupted. This will enable fans to cheer on our Qantas Socceroos as they take on the best in the world, and to enjoy the exclusive Hyundai 2010 FIFA World Cup footage. The 'Football Australia Live Site presented by Optus' locations will be alcohol free, providing the perfect place for fans to come together in a safe, enjoyable and controlled environment,” stated the press release.

Fans have the chance to win prizes and giveaways offered by sponsors and to interact with local Hyundai A-League teams.

In addition to that, Hyundai is running a “Fan of the Match” competition, which rewards four lucky fans per match with Sony Cybershot digital cameras.
