It has been a while since we first heard about Hyundai’s future N Performance sub-brand and it seems like the wait will be worth it as the South Koreans just announced that everything will be unveiled at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
Being accused of copying BMW’s M division, not only with a similar name but also due to the colors used for the sub-brand’s logo, Hyundai is seemingly unfazed and will even launch its newest concepts in Germany.

According to them, the high-performance sub-brand will be building on Hyundai’s motorsport prowess and experience even though we’re not exactly sure what they mean by that since they have been successful only in WRC so far. The Korean manufacturer also claims that the cars built under this logo will be using futuristic technologies not only in terms of design but also in the powertrain department.

At the Frankfurt International Auto Show 2015 we’ll see the future New Generation i20 WRC on Hyundai’s center stage, a demonstration of what the auto maker wants to achieve in the future. As faith would have it, the new car will also debut in the 2016 FIA World Rally Championship at the Monte Carlo Rally.

On top of this premiere, we’ll also get to take a look at the most recent concept penned by the company, the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo. According to the press release attached below, this concept “highlights sustainable technology and race car design, truly representing the future potential of Hyundai N.”

To top everything off, the Hyundai RM15 concept car will be put up on display, with its 2-liter, 300 HP engine under the bonnet, another testimony to what the N performance brand wants to achieve.

That being said, it definitely feels like the South Korean manufacturer wants to bite a chunk of the sales the traditional German companies rank in every year in performance models. The question is: will their hard work be overlooked due to preconceptions or will people wholeheartedly embrace their proposals?
