Also making its presence felt will be the first working Police converted version of the iLoad, which is provided by Cambridgeshire Constabulary. “This is in recognition of Hyundai Motor UK becoming a preferred supplier to the UK Police Authorities, whilst also demonstrating the versatility of the iLoad van,” the company’s press release states.
“Hyundai is committed to increasing the awareness of the iLoad and sees the CV show as an ideal opportunity to demonstrate the iLoad’s capabilities to the wider light commercial vehicle user audience,” said Mark Baxter, Hyundai UK’s product manager.
The iLoad is now available on the UK market with a Euro 5-compliant engine that comes with the promise of improved efficiency and emissions. The 2.5CRDi Classic Panel van starts at just £13,840 and to make the vehicle even more appealing, Hyundai is offering the ‘Trade and Upgrade’ scheme on iLoad.
Similarly to the Government Scrappage Scheme, it allows owners of seven to ten year-old cars in Britain to get an allowance of between £1,500–£3,000 towards a brand new Hyundai vehicle. In the case of the iLoad, customers would save £2,300 on the list price when trading in their old van.
Visitors of the 2011 Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC can see the Hyundai van in both Panel and Crew forms at the company’s stand, which is numbered 4E140 in Hall 4.
