Hyundai i30 Trophy Edition Launches in Australia

The Australian division of Hyundai announced today it has added a special edition Trophy model to the i30 line-up. The five-door 'Trophy' hatch and wagon are based on the 2.0-litre petrol SX models. Exterior highlights include titanium-grey finish 16" alloy wheels (including a matching full-size spare wheel) and a sporty rear spoiler (hatchback model only).

The Trophy badging adds a distinctive touch, while at the front, fog lamps integrated into the lower front bumper match the i30's restyled headlamp clusters.

“On the inside, drivers benefit from the addition of cruise control making open road touring, highway and distance driving a breeze. The cabin has further enhanced style with leather wrapped steering wheel and matching transmission gear knob,” a company statement reads.

Safety wise, the car includes features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-skid Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hyundai Active Locking Operation (HALO), six airbags and 'anti-whiplash' front head restraints.

The i30 and i30cw wagon Trophy limited editions offer a comprehensive list of standard features including air-conditioning with pollen filter, remote keyless entry with alarm, power windows and mirrors, full AUX, USB and fully integrated iPod connectivity as well a chilled glove box, flexible space efficient seating and ample in-cabin stowage areas.

The special edition Trophy will come in a choice of four color schemes, such as Ceramic White, Shine Red, Vivid Blue and Hyper Silver. According to Hyundai, there will only be 500 units of each version available.
