“Designed in Rüsselsheim Germany, incorporating Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design language, the flowing lines of the exterior conceal a spacious and practical interior packed with comfort and convenience,” Hyundai says about this new estate, which will be available in early 2013.

The engine range is limited to a 1.6-liter Gamma GDi petrol with 99 kW (135 hp) and 164 Nm (121 lb-ft) of torque, or a 1.6-liter 1.6-liter UII CRDi diesel engine producing 94 kW (128 hp) and 260Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque.

The i30 Tourer is 185mm longer than the standard i30 and comes with 528-litres of stowage capacity with rear seats up, an increase of 150-litres over the hatch. This expands to a massive 1,642 litres with the second row seats folded flat.

The model comes with Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), and ABS with EBD & Brake Assist System (BAS), while advanced passive safety features include the use of ultra-high tensile steel within the body shell and seven airbags as standard.
