Hyundai i30 Estate Gets Five Stars from Euro NCAP

After the i30 hatchback received the maximum five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, it was only natural that Hyunda’s compact estate would perform equally-well. Also, the i30 was actually deemed as being one of the safest in its class, and the estate version is added to Hyundai’s list of five-star cars, which is as follows: i30, i20, ix35, ix20, Veloster and the original i30, launched back in 2007.

The i30 Tourer received a great result for both child occupants and adult occupants, achieving a score of 90%. It also did very well in the pedestrian impact test, achieving the same excellent result as the hatch. The ‘safety assist’ category was also one in which it got excellent marks, thanks to the electronic stability program, as well as the seatbelt reminder for all five occupants.

Allan Rushforth, Senior VP and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe stated: “The five-star rating shows our commitment to developing cars specifically for Europe and providing the highest levels of safety for Hyundai customers.  Our strategy of making cars ‘in Europe, for Europe’ continues to prove successful, attracting new consumers to Hyundai’s design, quality, safety and value.
