Like tiny cars with punchy, effervescent engines like the classic Citroens and Renaults? You're kind of strange customer. And while the French aren't interested in your money, Hyundai has got you covered with the all-new i10 N Line.
It's the car we just talked about over the weekend. During the development of the new i10, we saw a model with dual exhaust tips, and this is it. It's not quite a hot hatch, more of a warm hatch along the lines of an old MINI Cooper or Twingo GT.

Power comes from your choice between two engines. The basic one is a 1.2-liter with 84 HP and 118 Nm of torque (87 lb-ft), but the one you want is the 1-liter turbo making 120 HP and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft). Both come paired exclusively to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai doesn't have all the numbers ready, but while the 1.2 does 0 to 100 km/h in 12.6 seconds and has a top speed of 171 km/h, the turbo should do the sprint in about 10 and max out at 180 km/h. Their fuel consumption should be about the same, about 5.5 l/100km combined.

The provocative styling is what really gets you going. A new grille design has been grafted onto the angular i10, complete with six creases of LED light and some red triangle accents. Also, you have a chin spoiler, a diffuser at the back and some 16-inch wheels sporting wider 195/45R16 rubber.

The light blue paint is like a hint to Performance Blue on real N cars while the black roof offers contrast, helped by extra badges and accents in red. Inside, it also features an N-branded steering wheel and gear shift lever, metal pedals, and upgraded seats. Prices aren't available at the moment, but the "made in Turkey" warm hatch should be noticeably cheaper than the VW Up! GTI, its main rival.
