After two years of collaboration with the French fashion house Hermes, Hyundai unveiled their special edition Equus stretch limousine at the Seoul Motor Show this week.
The “Equus by Hermes” is based on the 2012 model, but with exterior tweaks and restyled interior by the French designers. The interior features over 20 exclusive items made specially for the it, and every bit and piece was hand-made. The back center console for example, is inspired by aircraft interiors and includes a folding table, four cup-holders, a large storage space and a water bottle compartment. The interior is lined with different types of carefully chosen leathers, including the crocodile leather found on some famous Hermes handbags.
Hyundai made only three Equus stretch limousines, none of which being available for sale. The automaker said that the vehicles were made to improve brand image by associating it with a well known European luxury brand.
