Leave the rumors behind, It is now official, the Hyundai Elantra will get a coupe version, but we do have to wait a bit in order to meet the car, as Hyundai will bring it to the 2012 Chicago Auto Show.
According to autoblog, the vehicle will come with new gearing, in order to bring out the driver in you. In addition to that, it will get its dedicated SE trim level, which should bring an array of sporty features. Hyundai wants the car to be more than an Elantra will less doors, so we expect multiple changes to take place.

The Elantra Coupe will share its platform with the Kia Forte Koup and will compete against the Honda Civic Coupe -it will be interesting to see how Hyundai-Kia will avoid cannibalization.
