Hyundai Delivers One Millionth Vehicle In Australia

Hyundai is a brand which was appreciated before it got its premium aspirations of the last 5 years. They were regarded as cheap and sold machines which were surprisingly reliable for their price. Australians also took a liking to Hyundai’s offerings, which have now sold their one millionth vehicle in the country.

The feat was achieved after being present on the Aussie market for the last 26 years, having taken them 18 years since their 1986 entry onto the market, to reach the 500,000 mark. This is proof that sales have been growing and more so in recent years when the quality of Hyundai’s products has gone up dramatically.

They sold 87,008 units last year, of which 28,869 were the brand’s new i30 hatchback. This equates to a very impressive market share of 8.6%, making Hyundai the country’s 5th largest car brand.
