Hyundai Curb Crossover Concept to Attend 2011 NAIAS

The upcoming Detroit Motor Show is set to open its doors in a few days, and everybody is eager to see what each major automaker has up its sleeve for the event. Hyundai, for example, has already given us a preview of what visitors will find in its booth, when it announced it will present the Veloster model. Now, the South Korean manufacturer has released a couple of teaser images showing a new concept that is set to make its world debut at the show: the Curb. The Hyundai Curb crossover concept will make its official premiere on Monday, next week. Visually, the vehicle seems to come as the next step in the automaker’s 'fluidic sculpture' design language, while its interior looks like it has been inspired by the one you can find inside a space ship. Some rumors say a production version crossover might become a reality in a couple of years. In addition to the Veloster, the Curb concept will be put on display alongside 40-mpg Hyundai Elantra, new Sonata Turbo, Sonata hybrid and other Hyundai models. Speaking of the Veloster, the car will come with one door on the driver’s side and two on the passenger’s one. The 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is expected to feature 30 to 40 worldwide vehicle premieres, including the Audi A6, BMW 1 Series M Coupe and 6 Series Convertible, Chevrolet Sonic, Chrysler 300, Toyota Prius MPV, Ford Escape Concept and Honda Civic Concept, among others. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
