Hyundai 30Beats Remix Voting Started

Hyundai UK’s marketing division has been working hard on a new campaign named 30beats, in order to promote the new i30. The campaign, which is in fact a music competition, features “twenty-seven unique concepts and twenty-seven talented musicians – but there can only be one winner.

The story goes like this: entrants have used the Hyundai i30 as heir instrument, mixed down their tracks, uploaded them onto YouTube and then submitted them on the campaign’s website for the public vote.

The 27 tracks submitted are of all kinds. Some entrants have used nothing but car sound samples from the i30, others have added extra samples of music, synthesizers and drums. Some have enhanced their remix with videos using animation, 30beats footage and cut outs of i30 pictures.

“We knew they were going to be good, but the creativity and concepts have exceeded all of our expectations. There is a real variety of different sounds and videos and the votes are already coming thick and fast. We can’t wait to see which ones come out on top and win the car worth over £11k,”
commented Tony Whitehorn, Managing Director of Hyundai UK, in a statement for the press.

The 27 tracks are waiting for the public’s vote until October 31, 2009, with the creator of the most voted 30beats track, eligible to win a red, £11,160 worth Hyundai i30 1.4 Comfort. The car is equipped with air conditioning, ESP, four electric windows, alloy wheels and integrated steering wheel audio controls as standard.
