Not every GM fan is hyped or extremely worried about Chevrolet’s recent trio of electric vehicles: Equinox, Blazer, and Silverado EV. Actually, quite the virtual ZZ632/1000 opposite.
It feels like the entire EV automotive world has paused for a second to better grasp the enormity of the upcoming battle between Chevrolet’s Silverado EV and Ford’s F-150 Lightning. It is certainly going to be epic, with a dash of Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T splashed in between, just for pickup truck fun.

But let’s face it. These EV trucks are going to duke it out on American highways and unpaved roads sometime... soon. Right now, Chevrolet aficionados are better off playing with a 2022 Silverado. At least according to a virtual artist. And after performing an OEM aftermarket twist.

Jim, the pixel master behind the jlord8 account on social media, has dabbled a little with the 2024 Silverado EV. He swiftly turned the truck into an imaginative starting base for a battery-electric Blazer K5 revival. And then, just as quickly, he swung back to ICE shenanigans.

The CGI expert’s newest imaginative idea takes the refreshed 2022 Silverado and goes the exact opposite route of the company’s off-road-prone ZR2 idea. So, instead of making it a 4x4 star, he muscled up the pickup truck in a cool extended-cab configuration. The two-door now also rides a lot closer to the paved surface and the slammed attitude is all owed to a neat street tune virtual build.

One that comes complete with a secret powertrain sauce. Well, not so secret since it’s written in white and crimson on the sides. As such, we are dealing with a digital ZZ632/1000 engine swap. And with 10.3-liters of displacement, as well as 1,004 horsepower on tap, it’s not hard to imagine this crate engine truck would not care too much about the 664-hp Silverado RST EV’s woes.
