Like the other four robotic mowers that Husqvarna designed to help tending to the lawn (the 210 C, 220 AC, 230 ACX and the above mentioned Solar Hybrid), the 260 ACX charges and operates itself without needing supervision.
If more power is needed, the Automower find its own way to the charging station. With dual guide wires to reduce searching times and the settings panel allows you to get it fit for many different gardens and preferences. By turning one large knob you can easily adjust the cutting height.
Even more, if by any chance something disturbs the operation, the 260 ACX sends a text message to your pre-programmed mobile phone number, warning you about it. Because of its low noise level and the 1.4 acre capacity, this specific model is perfectly suitable for quiet environments, such as hospitals, hotels, leisure facilities.
Automower 260 ACX has a built-in sensor using ultrasonic technology in order to avoid hard collisions. It handles slopes up to 35% and its timer function allows the user to pre-set the mowing time.
Husqvarna also set up an anti-theft alarm and a PIN code lock for the 260 ACX. If no supervision is required from the owner, this self charging and operating mower is also able to self protect of potential theft. We can hardly wait for the next Automower model. Maybe it could make french fries and wash dishes...
