Austrian motorcycle maker Husqvarna released its sales reports for 2016, and things look pretty good. The company has recently moved towards bringing more street bikes to the market, which makes things even better.
According to the report, Husqvarna Motorcycles have come close to doubling both its production and turnover in the last two years. The company reached an increase of both units sold and turnover of 43 percent in 2016, reaching total global sales of 30,700 units.

These numbers follow the 32 percent gain in motorcycle sales during 2015, and underlines the brand’s positive growth strategy. Money wise, generating the largest turnover in the brand’s history at the end of 2015, the company’s annual, worldwide turnover increased in 2016, reaching over 200 million Euros.

Part of the increase comes from the all-new 2017 line-up of FE and TE Enduro models last year, reaching dealerships from September. In addition, the new 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto coming with improved engine technology have also been released during the second half of the year.

Husqvarna continued its lineup refresh last year by completing the motocross range with the introduction of the 2016 TC 50 and TC 65 models. Together with the TC 85 and an extensive lineup of full-sized 2-stroke and 4-stroke models, the company now offers a complete range of motocross bikes.

But most importantly, Husqvarna finally unveiled its two “real street” motorcycles in 2016. We’re talking about the production version of the Vitpilen 401 and the Svartpilen 401.

However, these two will be available at dealerships in late Autumn 2017, which will surely increase the fourth quarter sales and maybe score in another record for the company.

The two “real street” bikes have been developed from the ground up, being specially created for riders that prefer to stick more to the tarmac, be it in the cities or sweeping backroads.
