Things are on the move with Husqvarna, just days after the company changed hands, from BMW to KTM CEO Stefan Pierer. Pierer has confirmed the plans for India-built Huskys, sharing a platform with Bajaj and possibly with the low-displacement KTMs.
Now, having three motorcycle brands sharing pretty much the same parts is a very clever move and promises a lot of financial profit. With a bike like the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS as the entry level model, the 200 Duke as the middle one and possibly the 200 Husqvarna as the top segment bike, figures could really look very neat.

A new 125cc Husky could also be developed for Europe, given the shift in customer's preferences and the migration towards the lower displacement machines. At the same time, we might also live to see a Husqvarna developed on the all-new KTM 390 Duke platform. With Pierer thinking a lot of moves in advance it's hard to believe that he would miss the opportunity to build another bike on the same production lines, but addressing a different niche.

We just can't wait to see which way will Husqvarna go, now that serious plans seem to be in store for the old off-road brand.
