Learning about Husqvarna's return to the very strong Brazilian market somehow makes us smile when remembering the rumors about KTM buying the brand only to kill it and make a melancholic memory of all it's glory.
Even if KTM laid off workers in the Varese factory (now hired back by SWM) and ditched some of the models BMW developed (also under the SWM umbrella now), Husky charged on. Three years after leaving Brazil, Husqvarna is back with a loud bang.

The first move Husqvarna makes in Brazil after turning the page and entering a new era is teaming up with local distributor Triple Power Group of Sao Paulo. Triple Power is based in the same city where Husqvarna's former partner, Izzo Group, now extinct, hailed from. The new importer also sells Triumph bikes and - funnily - BMW bikes, as well.

Husqvarna brings a total of eight models to Brazil to kick off sales, with more to follow, certainly.

Husqvarna brings more than half of its 2015 models to Brazil, with the first wave comprised of no less than 8 bikes. The cheapest one is the Husqvarna TE 250, which comes with a price tag of 43,900 Brazilian Reais, making for €12,615 or $13,755. The most expensive one is the FE 450 model, each one bringing Husky a revenue of 53,900 Reais, or €15,490 or $16,890.

In the Motocross segment, Husqvarna will sell the 4-stroke FC 250, FC 350 and FC 450 machines, complemented by 2-stroke TE 250 and TE 300 Enduro machines and their FE 250, FE 350 and FE 450 4-stroke counterparts.

Twelve retailers are on the list now, with others possibly added as operations kick off. No road going bikes have been confirmed to make the journey across the Atlantic, but this is only a matter of time, as Brazil is one of the biggest emerging markets in the world.
