Hulkenberg Ready to Learn from Barrichello

Only a few days after being confirmed as new race driver for Williams F1 Team, Rubens Barrichello's role at Grove already seems to be set. Apparently, the first thing that Frank Williams expects of him is to be the best teacher for rookie teammate Nico Hulkenberg, and maybe score some points in the process.

After Williams' Sam Michael echoed that perspective earlier this week, saying that Rubens has everything to teach the German newcomer, now Hulkenberg himself admitted that having the experienced Brazilian by his side for a full season is what he had dreamed for in his rookie season in Formula One.

Coming to F1 with a strong pedigree – he won plenty of strong championships on his way to the Williams seat – Hulkenberg seems to keep his feet on the ground and admitted that watching Barrichello at work weekend after weekend is exactly what he needs in 2010. In addition, he insisted that the Brazilian veteran still has the speed to compete in the series, as he consistently showed it through the 2009 season.

To have a guy with such experience will be a good help for me, for a rookie in F1. I'd be stupid not to take advice off him, to see how he works through a race weekend. I think I can learn a lot from him and his experience,” said the 22-year old driver.

It couldn't be much better than that, plus he is still quick, a good racer, as we have seen this season, so it's a good package. I just want the best team-mate I can get, who is quick, who is experienced and who is a good driver, and that's what I see in him,” added the German rookie about his teammate, who's exactly twice his age (just for the record).

So we guess we're really expecting Rubens to break the silence and tell us some more about his plans for the 2010 season, other than the ones which imply teaching, of course.
