Dutch motorcycle enthusiast collector Michael Buttinger decides to have its extensive collection under the hammer, in an event organized by major auction house Bonhams.
The Buttinger collection comprises almost 100 various motorcycles, including new, never used items and prototypes. The two Honda prototypes are a CBX1000 and a special edition NR750. No less than 10 Honda Monkey bikes which have never been used will also go under the hammer in Stafford, Staffordshire County Showground, on October 20 in the UK.

The auction has number 21136, but the catalogs will only be available 4 weeks prior to the auction. For those interested in consigning property, the last consignment date for this auction is 22 September 2013.

As Bonhams highlights, the Buttinger collection will also offer bikes such as the following:

- 1962 BSA 646cc Rocket Gold Star, estimate: £16,000 – 20,000 ($24,990 or €18,950 - $31,212 or €23,710)
- Mondial 250cc Bialbero Grand Prix Racing Motorcycle
- 1929 Ascot-Pullin 496cc Sports Utility, estimate: £20,000 – 25,000 ($31,212 or €23,710 - $39,050 or €29,640)
- 1938 Vincent-HRD 498cc Meteor Project (pictured), estimate: £22,000 - 26,000 ($34,360 or €26,080 - $40,060 or €30,825), a bike with just one owner for more than 60 years.
