Huge MOTO Honda CBR Black Is the Ultimate Custom Fighter

If you feel like your 2008 or newer Honda CBR1000RR could do just fine with a modding job, but haven't found yet what you were looking for, or what you found was way too expensive, take your time to look at Huge MOTO's CBR Black project.

The creation of two enthusiast riders, one a product designer and the other a motorcycle builder, CBR Black is the ultimate modification kit for your CBR1000RR superbike. Created with radical looks and a minimalist approach in mind, the CBR Black is also one of the easiest transformations for your two-wheeler.

Installing the CBR Black kit on your bike does not require extensive engineering knowledge and most importantly, does not involve hacking and sawing, welding, or anything like that. In fact, save for some basic tools, such as socket wrenches wire cutters, or screwdrivers, customers only need basic wiring skills. They are needed because installing the kit involves relocating a few electronic parts and mounting new turn signals and such.

An all-CAD designed kit

Huge MOTO took exact measurements of the CBR1000RR frame in key areas and created the entire set of bolt-on parts using CAD modeling. The design of these parts was carefully supervised so that each add-on complies with the existing structures perfectly.

The ignition, fuse box, voltage regulator and the speedometer receive relocation mounts, and the customers will have to wire the turn signals and tail light, as well as the high and low beam switch to the new headlight unit.

Huge MOTO supplies new levers with integrated LED turn signals, a new rear subframe with a different tail section, a new, dual-bulb vertically-stacked headlight. All the mounting hardware and installation instructions are in the box, too.

The CBR Black project will discard the fairings of the stock CBR1000RR and replace all the plastics with a small bikini flyscreen. You can support the Huge MOTO CBR Black project by pre-ordering the kit or only the parts you're interested in.

The price for the entire modding kit is quite decent, currently set at $2,999 (€2,650), and you can even have Huge MOTO doing the work for you, but it will double the figure. Other interesting perks are a ride together with Huge MOTO from San Francisco, CA to Austin, TX in 2016, with accommodation and MotoGP tickets included. And with the Indianapolis round dropped from the MotoGP calendar next year, this is the only time and place you can see premier class action in the States.

Finally, you can decide to go as radical as it gets and buy the very prototype, a $25,000 (€22,125) affair. Yes, the very bike pictured after the jump! Watch the cool video and try to imagine how your Honda CBR1000RR would look in Huge MOTO's Black trim.
