We're not big fans of using smartphones to do a real navigation system's job, but then again, you just can't argue with a bargain.
Today, we present Hudway, a mobile phone app that uses the screen to project navigation info, like the road ahead, directions or local speed restriction on the windshield.
The app works pretty much just like any navigation system. You input the destination and it does the rest. But it also has a few social media goodies on the side.
We tried a similar system once that measured your speed with the accelerometer of the iPhone and projected it on the windshield. The only problem was that you couldn't see it unless it was completely dark outside.
On the upside, Hudway only costs $0.99 and takes up just 9.8 MB of your phone's memory. It's optimized for the iPhone5 and requires iOS 6.0 or better. Learn more about it on the App Store.
