HPE1000, World's Most Powerful Camaro SS

Nothing seems to stand in the way of the specialists at Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE), as the sky seems to be the limit for them. Their latest creation, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro equipped with a HPE1000 LSX427 Twin Turbo engine was taken dyno testing. How did that go? You can watch by yourself in the video below.

But first, let us prepare you for what you’re about to see. It’s all in the name, as you already know that with Hennessey, the number designation announces the horsepower. Yes, ladies and gents, this Camaro SS provides no less than 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 lbs.-ft. of torque (1,355 Nm).

Dubbed "The Big Bad American Wolf," the HPE1000 upgrade starts with the 7.0-liter LSX V8 and adds a pair of turbochargers and air-to-air intercoolers, high-flow cylinder heads, forged aluminum pistons, forged steel con rods and crank, custom cam, revised intake manifold, fuel system and stainless-steel exhaust.

Well, if you like what you see (and hear) in the video, then feel free to send your 2010 Camaro SS along with $65,000 and HPE says you’ll get the beast in just eight weeks. If you want a complete car with the CarbonAero body package, Brembo brakes, KW coil-over adjustable suspension, P Zero Pirelli tires, and 20 inch rims then it will cost you $125,000. Still... a bargain.

HPE also offers other Camaro SS upgrades like the HPE 475 for a naturally aspirated 475 hp powerplant, and the 815 hp twin turbo HPE.
