How’s This For a Lexus SC Successor?

Lexus LF-LC Production Rendering 1 photo

The Lexus LF-LC concept introduced to the public in January 2012 at NAIAS is known to enter production someday, probably in 2016, but no one can really tell under what nameplate the car will be produced.
Some say that it might be a successor for the Lexus LFA supercar while other thought that the automaker is trying to revive the SC model that wasn’t too successful.

Honestly, the concept could turn out to be both. The SC and the LFA have about the same wheelbase and the LF-LC name is pretty ambiguous as it translates to Lexus Future-Luxury Coupe. Well that could be anything...

However, we like to imagine the LC as a high-performance hybrid supercar made to continue the LFA’s legacy. The concept totally seem to be inspired by the lines of the LFA and with that much technology inside it must turn out to be a supercar.

Japanese magazine Best Car recently published a nice rendering showing how the car might look. It combines certain design elements from the RC coupe making for a beautiful shape.

The concept stirred a lot of reactions from the public and in March 2013 Lexus said the LC will go into production. When exactly is going to arrive? No one can say, but Lexus was saying the car will be built on a whole new platform which can take a while.
