How Would You Like to Drive a 850 lb-ft BMW E36 M3?

 Electric cars may or may not be the future of the automotive industry. The debate is as hot as ever, especially since the biggest premium manufacturer in the world decided to launch its own line of electric vehicles.
 
One thing is for sure though: fossil fuels are available in a limited amount and, eventually, they will run out. What will happen then? What will happen not only with our daily lives and our little pleasures, but what will happen with things that we love, like rallying and Formula 1 competitions?
 
Will they be reduced to a couple of electric cars running down the tracks like remote controlled toys while we listen to the batteries being depleted from the stands? Don't know about you, but we certainly wouldn't like that.
 
However, just for fun, some guys do put together quite interesting projects. Take the project we're looking at today for example. It's a modified E36 M3 that has 2 electric engines in it that produce over 536 HP together and 850 lb-ft (1152 Nm) of torque, at the wheels.
 
Considering the numbers written above, driving such a car does require a special set of skills and a whole lot of more attention (especially since the brakes and steering are not assisted).
 
This project was also run in the Pikes Peak competition where it performed admirably, even winning in its class. However, would you want one? Would you replace an old school internal combustion engined car with such a model? What are your thoughts on the subject?
