Wouldn’t it be great if this would end up as the fourth generation Toyota Prius? It will surely fulfill our need for hybrid/EV cars to be as outlandish as possible to compensate for their soulless, mute functioning.
Although we’ve seen this FT-Bh concept last year, Toyota Malaysia brought it into attention again on their Facebook page, making us redevelop warm feelings towards it.
So let’s imagine this as the future hybrid. What it has to offer? It clearly uses the same Prius shape, only that it is enhanced to slip through the air better with an aerodynamic coefficient of just 0.235. It also went through a massive weight reduction program, weighting only 786 kg (1723 lb).
Another important fuel saving measure is represented by its decrease tire rolling resistance, which was obtained by using skinnier wheels like the ones you see on motorcycles these days.
All those improvements combined with a very efficient 1-liter 2-cylinder engine aided by an electrical motor would translate in the most advanced hybrid the auto industry can see so far.
