Two more races are left in the 2015 MotoGP World Championship, but who the new premier class king is has yet to be decided. Only one thing is sure at the time of writing: it's going to be either Valentino Rossi or Jorge Lorenzo.
Still months away from the end of the year, 2015 has been a wonderful period for Yamaha. The house of Iwata celebrates its 60th anniversary and will top this fruitful year with the best reward a motorcycle manufacturer can get when it comes to road racing, the MotoGP Triple Crown.

Yamaha has already secured the Manufacturer's and the Teams' titles, and will also add the Riders' accolade to this year's accomplishments. That is because there is no other way, no matter what happens on the track.

It no longer matters what happens on the track - one of the two Yamaha riders is the new Champion

Yamaha will secure the Riders' title even if neither Rossi nor Lorenzo takes part in the remaining two races. The Italian leads the championship with 296 points, whereas his Spanish teammate Lorenzo trails 11 points behind.

Next in the world standing comes Marc Marquez, whose multiple DNFs this season forfeited his chances for a title battle. However, the young Spaniard only has 222 points, and even if he were to win both remaining races and the two Yamaha riders to miss scoring any points, it would not be enough.

Still, Marquez and Ducati's Andrea Iannone are far from being negligible factors in the two upcoming races. Both have had a major impact on the points distribution in the last race at Phillip Island and this can happen again.

Marquez winning the Australian GP helped Rossi, as Repsol's victory prevented Lorenzo from clawing back five more points from the Doctor. At the same time, a very fast and bold Iannone got the better of Rossi and helped Lorenzo out with three points. It's not hard to understand that the other riders at the top can influence the resolve of the championship, and both Rossi and Lorenzo know this.

Three scenarios for Rossi's title win

In order to nullify Lorenzo's chances to win the title, Rossi needs to have more than 25 points after Sepang. This leaves room for three major scenarios. If one of these actually takes place, he wins the 2015 World Title, the tenth of his career. If things play out differently at Sepang, the battle goes to the wire, and you'll be reading one more piece like this one in two weeks' time.

Here are the three scenarios that may grant the 2015 MotoGP crown to Rossi in Malaysia:

- Rossi wins, and Lorenzo finishes sixth or below. This gives Rossi 321 points and Lorenzo 295.
- Rossi finishes second and Lorenzo eleventh or below. This gives Rossi 316 points and Lorenzo 290.
- Rossi finishes third, and Lorenzo only manages to score one point or none at all. This gives Rossi 312 points and Lorenzo 286.

What's your call for the Sepang Sunday, #ForzaVale or #VamosJorge?
