How to Turn a Car into a Documentary

Eric Bana is an Australian actor that we're sure is very well known to the female portion of the demographic, not only in his home country but also abroad. Some of you blokes out there might remember him from such cool movies as “Black Hawk Down”, “Hulk”, “Troy” and the lesser known “Munich”.

But what you guys (and girls) probably didn't know is that Eric here is one avid petrolhead. What he likes most when he's not making pretend to be a soldier, or a Greek general is to work on cars. We know that sounds a bit too butch, but the man really has a thing for collecting and restoring old cars. So much so that he turned his most beloved car, an old Ford XB GT coupe into the star of his latest documentary.

It's called “Love the Beast” and it deals not just with his car or the cars of other people, but also the manic passion some people experience when it comes to their car. We can relate Eric, so we'll keep our fingers crossed until this thing comes out, which, by the way, no one knows, not even the mighty Internet Movie Database.

In order to wet your appetite a little further, we're going to let you know who Eric has planned to feature in his documentary in order to make his point. Do the names Jay Leno, Dr. Phil and Jeremy Clarkson ring a bell?

And we're not the only ones getting excited about this project, Eric is also feeling the same rush “I am terribly excited about this project. It has been both fun and incredibly exhausting at the same time and has enabled me to combine 2 of the things that I love; cars and filmmaking”.

Incidentally, this happens to be the first production to have Eric Bana sitting in the director's chair, so it's a double whammy for him.
