The radiator is a vital part for your engine to run normally, as it lowers the temperature of the coolant that flows inside the engine. Tools required for the job: pliers, 10 and 12mm sockets with ratchet and extensions, a Philips screwdriver and a catch pan if you don’t want to spill the coolant all over the garage floor. Even if you are doing it outside, you should still collect the coolant and dispose it in a designated place, as it is toxic both for humans and nature.
Disconnect the negative battery cable
Unscrew the 12mm bolts that fixes the skid plate on the underside of the car and remove it to gain access to the lower part of the radiator
Locate the drainage plug on the radiator and open it to flush the coolant out
Remove the air intake as shown in the video to gain access to the top part of the radiator
Pull the clamps backwards from the hoses running to the radiator
Remove the hoses
Unscrew the four 10mm bolts that keep the electric fan attached to the radiator and remove it
Remove the four 12mm bolts keeping the radiator attached to the body
Remove the hoses on the lower side of the radiator
Pull the radiator out
Replace it with the new one and follow the steps backwards to successfully mount it.
