If you’ve decided to tune up your Scion xB a bit and started from the front end, you might want to replace that stock grille with something more cool, like a chromed one for example.
To do so, you will need just a flathead screwdriver and 10mm ratchet with an extender.
- The plastic stock grille is held with just three snap-on bolts, one at each end and one in the middle, so use the screwdriver to pop them out and remove it
- The aftermarket grille, like the one in the video, might come with more solid mounting points that require bolts. Or you can mount some brackets on it if you want
- Unscrew the bolts that goes into the bumper a bit if the new grille has lower brackets, so you can slide them in and anchor with the existing bolts
- Do that if required, else, just use the side holes to fix the grille with bolts.
