The basic maintenance job you can perform on your 2004 Toyota Sienna is replacing the engine oil and filters. Here we will concentrate on how to replace the air filter, so the engine can breathe better.
It is a very simple operation which you can perform with a 10mm socket ratchet and the spare air filter according to your model (see user manual if not sure). Here are the steps:
  • Open the hood and locate the air filter case - it is the black box just behind the battery
  • Use the 10mm socket to remove the two bolts shown in the video bellow
  • Lift the filter case top part a bit so you can access the filter
  • Grab the filter and take it out. Note its position so you can put the new one correctly
  • Put the new filter in place and close the filter case properly
  • Screw the two bolts back and you are done.
