If you need to gain access to the window mechanism on your Scion xB, you will have to remove the door panel first.
To do so, you will need a Phillips screwdriver and a prying tool, or just a flathead screwdriver. It’s an easy process and all you have to do is follow the next steps:
Open the door
Use the prying tool to remove the upper triangular trimming that houses the tweeter
With the same tool, pry and remove the plastic trimming behind the door opener
After removing that, there should be a screw behind it so remove that that too
Remove the screw from the armrest
Pry and remove the armrest trimming that houses the window buttons
Pull the lower part of the door panel to snap it off then push it upwards to take it off.
