The Mercedes G-Class will always be a perfect starting point for tuning project, but the German off-roader doesn’t just come with a special appearance, but also has special requirements that not everybody meets. Prior Design recently announced it will offer an exterior kit for the G-Class and, judging by the way the first images look, this will make the car useless.
The Prior Design Mercedes G-Class will be fitted with a new front fascia, a vented hood, a roof-mounted air scoop, as well as a rear fascia that integrates an air diffuser. The vehicle will ride on 23-inch alloy wheels and it will probably come with a lowered suspension.

While the idea of making the G-Class look like a steam train locomotive is irresistible and we like it too, if this means that you have to fit the car with 23-inch wheels that use ultra-low profile rubber and/or lowering it, we’ll say a big “no, thanks”, as this will deprive the car of its most valuable asset, it’s rough terrain abilities.
