Yes, the 2016 BMW M3 will get a small facelift along with the new 3 Series as we told you long before the Germans confirmed it officially. Don’t expect it to bring huge changes though, we’ll explain everything in a jiffy.
The main difference in terms of visual appearance will be noticeable in the back. That’s because the facelifted M3 will be using new taillights that fall into the same design pattern as the 3 Series. Other than that, you’ll have to be pretty knowledgeable to figure the differences out.

For example, you’d have to notice the new chrome accents surrounding the front and rear air vents or the buttons for the electric windows. The navigation unit has improved hardware that should offer it better performance and a faster start-up along with a more realistic presentation of city details.

The door accents will be in the same color as the trim accents while the child seat handling is supposed to be improved. Last, but not least, there should be a pearlescent chrome application for the radio and climate controls, the climate control display will be white instead of orange while ambient lighting surrounding the center stack has been added.

The updated M3 will start production in July and will have more standard equipment than before, with Comfort Access Keyless Entry coming for free along with satellite radio with one year subscription and the Harman/Kardon sound system. The prices will start at $64,195.

The same standard kit will be included for the M4 but, the Coupe won’t be getting the new taillights just yet or the new details inside the cabin. Prices for the M4 also went up, the Coupe starting at $66,395 now and the Convertible at $74,895.
