Volkswagen UK has released a series of informative but very simple videos to help its customers understand their cars better.
One of them talks about engine oil, its importance and how to check if you have enough of it. Even though most Volkswagen cars have a "low oil" light on the dash, they are still equipped with a dipstick.

Checking your oil is done pretty much the same way as with every other car. Even though the car checks your oil levels for you, it's best to check the levels once between service intervals.

The Touareg is one model that doesn't have a dip stick, since levels are checked by the car's systems.
