How Rizla Suzuki Packs Up a MotoGP Pit Garage

MotoGP fans who have always wondered what happens once a race is finished or how do the teams pack up after it, now have the chance to satisfy their curiosity, courtesy of Rizla Suzuki. The team has launched a photo sequence on its website to show fans what happens when a MotoGP event is over and the whole garage needs packing away for transportation to the next race.

The team says they usually need some three and half hours to do this, but the video has been edited by Alex Boyce to offer a high-speed footage.

“The whole process can take anything up to three-and-a-half-hours in real-time - especially heading off to an intercontinental race when nearly 15 tonnes of parts and equipment are loaded into nearly 60 flight cases - but due to some clever editing by Troy Lee Designs’ photographer Alex Boyce, you can see behind the scenes with exclusive footage in just over a minute,” a statement from Rizla Suzuki reads.

The team’s Alvaro Bautista finished his first season in the premier class as the leading Suzuki rider. Rizla Suzuki and Bautista will next be in action at Sepang in Malaysia in early February for the first test of 2011. The start of the MotoGP season is scheduled for March 20, at Losail in Qatar.

You can experience the Rizla Suzuki team packing away the garage in Misano, Italy and see what goes into getting everything out of the pit-box and ready to set up at the next race by watching the Troy Lee Designs video below:
